personal bio

I’m in my 40s. Yippee.

I am a musician by trade. Primarily, I play piano, lever harp, and cello. I do studio work, stage and pit orchestras, and solo stuff. I play piano in a jazz combo on occasion. I play cello in a string quartet. I can be found most weekends at a wedding of people I don’t know, wearing a foofy gown and lugging around a cello or a harp. The pic on this profile was taken at a wedding. Our 1st violinist thought it looked like my cello was growing a head, so he snapped the pic, only he forgot to turn the flash on, so it came out looking weird…which makes me like it.

When I’m not doing music, I like writing fiction, playing with my doggies, hiking, ripping apart computers, building websites that I never upload, and drawing and painting stuff in Photoshop

That’s so amazing that you do that for a living. i know how hard it is to ‘follow your dream’ and attempt to live life as an ‘artist’ so hard, in fact, that I quit… lol

Hah, I saw your picture and was like, “YAY, a cellist!” I started taking cello lessons three months ago, so I get excited when I see cellists. The cello is such a beautiful instrument, in my opinion. I’m glad to see another person who appreciates it as well.

Good luck with your future endeavors!
